When The Wing opened last month as a women-only social club the original concept was to serve as an in-between space for New Yorkers – in between meetings, home, working, and happy hours. They call it “your throne away from home; a sacred space where you can work, get to inbox zero, shower, get a blow-out, store your stuff, take a conference call, make a new friend, or even stage a small coup.” Take one look at the space, with its phone booths, pumping room, library-style table lamps and room full of vanities, and you may find yourself thinking, “can I just move in?” The rent would probably be pretty steep, so instead I’ll share a few ways that you can make your own home look like The Wing.
