Serena Williams has penned an open letter calling out what she sees as double standards faced by women in sports
The countdown to Christmas has begun! 25 days left. I’m looking forward to relaxing with friends and family, sipping on hot cocoa, and handing out some seriously awesome gifts. This year I decided to host some people at my house for a holiday party, but I quickly realized I may have bit off more than I can chew… In addition to sending out holiday cards and putting up the Christmas tree, I also have to create an array of delicious desserts for my guests to devour. Since I’m not a professional cake decorator (or baker, for that matter), I decided to invest in a trusty, store-bought cake from Whole Foods and decorate it with fun cake toppers. I opted for a layer cake covered in white icing and topped with meringues to serve as a blank canvas for my decor. Scroll down to check out the holiday cake toppers I designed and pick up some tips for creating your own! photos by ashleigh ...see the slideshow here

photos by Sarah Falugo; planned by Mon Plus Beau Jour “Is this night for real?” We must have asked each other the question at least 10 times throughout the magical evening that was spent in the shadow of the French chateau where our very own Chanel and her fiancĂ© Eric would be getting married the following day. The perfectly manicured hedges, endless trays filled with hors d’oeuvres, and cool breezes that blew across the castle grounds – all set to a perfect soundtrack of clinking champagne glasses and guests’ laughter — left us transfixed in a fairy tale haze. Of course, after seeing the photos from the entire wedding weekend we couldn’t keep all this goodness to ourselves, so when Vogue.com came calling, we shared an exclusive look at Chanel’s wedding that took place the next day. The only thing I love more than a fantasy French cocktail party? Seeing two of ...see the slideshow here

Former U.S. Open champion Juan Martin del Potro will attempt to extend his remarkable comeback of 2016 when he launches the 2017 season at Auckland's ASB Tennis Classic in January
I’ve always loved the idea of hosting a wreath making party leading up to the holidays… gathering a group of friends to craft something pretty to decorate their homes, combined with plenty of conversation and cocoa drinking. Well, my friends from Bricolage Floral Studio and ByGeorge just gave me the perfect excuse! I’ll be co-hosting a winter wreath workshop this coming Saturday December 3rd at the Lamar store, with Samantha from Bricolage showing us how to make the most gorgeous wreath that you can take home to deck the halls (or gift to one lucky person on your list!) It’s $56 for all the supplies you’ll need to make and take home your own, just call the ByGeorge team at 512-472-5951 to reserve your spot. There will be sign-ups available every half hour between 11am – 3pm. Hope you can join me! And if you’re not in Austin, never fear: Samantha is sharing ...see the slideshow here

Former tour player Anne Keothavong has been chosen to succeed Judy Murray as captain of Britain's Fed Cup team
photography by Sarah Falugo; planned by Mon Plus Beau Jour I’ve been looking forward to the holiday season as much as the next girl, don’t get me wrong, but if you asked me what’s really given me butterflies over the last month, it’d have to be my anticipation of this very moment. Finally, this week, Eric and I get to share some of our favorite photos from our destination wedding weekend in France. And it starts today with our epic picnic. On the Saturday before the wedding, we kicked the festivities off with a picnic lunch at Chateau du Grand-LucĂ©. Thirty of our closest friends and family members had arrived to the property the night before and settled into their accommodations, but for the rest of our 90 guests, this picnic was the first time setting foot on the 75-acre slice of heaven. The gates flung open, the bus slowed to a stop, and the weekend began. Enjoy some ...see the slideshow here

If you’ve ever picked up a copy of Sunset then you already know what a unique publication it is — every page is packed with colorful ideas for road trips and outdoor adventures, and all of it edited with a keen eye for style and design. So when we heard that the editors behind our favorite outdoors ‘zine were throwing a party to celebrate the release of their first book, we did our best to snag an invite. Camp Sunset: A Modern Camper’s Guide to the Great Outdoors is every bit as colorful and inspiring as the magazine, and the amazing outdoor book launch party was all that we hoped it would be and more. We spent the afternoon chatting with Jennifer Marnach, who oversaw the event. Read on to discover how she created a glamorous campground fit for some serious outdoor fun. photographed by tom story ...see the slideshow here

Typically, we associate shiny hair with health—but, the products that we use can make a major difference in the luster that we see in our locks. The key is to find the correct balance between keeping hair healthy and keeping it clean. Sounds pretty simple, but since many hair products are either overly drying or loaded with silicones that merely coat the hair rather than nourishing it (and lead to buildup and dullness over time), it’s important to use the right products in your routine to keep hair shiny and not overly weighed down. To help you along on your journey to mirror-like locks, I rounded up some of my favorite products that will keep your hair light, bouncy and healthy, as well as tips to keep your hair happy, whether it’s straight, curly, fine, thick, or in-between! featured image by the coveteur ...see the slideshow here

When The Wing opened last month as a women-only social club the original concept was to serve as an in-between space for New Yorkers – in between meetings, home, working, and happy hours. They call it “your throne away from home; a sacred space where you can work, get to inbox zero, shower, get a blow-out, store your stuff, take a conference call, make a new friend, or even stage a small coup.” Take one look at the space, with its phone booths, pumping room, library-style table lamps and room full of vanities, and you may find yourself thinking, “can I just move in?” The rent would probably be pretty steep, so instead I’ll share a few ways that you can make your own home look like The Wing. Color code your books – Start by acquiring a women-only authored collection of books. Oh, you have books written by men? That’s okay, just make ...read the rest of the story here
